Welcome to Deben Yacht Club, founded in 1838 and located on the beautiful River Deben in Woodbridge, Suffolk. Whether you are new to sailing or a seasoned racer, we are a welcoming and family friendly club. The Deben Yacht Club offers a full calendar of events throughout the sailing season including a mixture of dinghy & yacht racing, flotillas and leisure sailing, all supported by our safety boat team.
DYC is affiliated to both RYA and Paddle UK, and is an RYA Training Centre. We offer sail training courses for cadets and adults as well as safety boat courses for members.
It’s easy to store and launch your boat – we have a large dinghy park, a modern slipway and 21 moorings. If you don’t have a boat, we have over 30 club dinghies for members to hire including Toppers, Topper Argos, RS Qubas, RS Fevas, Laser and Wayfarers.
