The special practice session on Monday 31 May will start with a socially distanced briefing in the dinghy park at about 2.00pm. The aim is to help novice, inexperienced and particularly younger members to join in the racing. John Adams will organise some short races and have several race starts. We will have a number of the experienced sailors at the briefing, in the dinghy park and then on the water in their boats buddying up with sailors who want it to lead you around the course and help. We will therefore also need the help of experienced members. This event is instead of the public open day which was originally scheduled. We hope you will be happy to join in or come along and help.
- Click here for the sign up sheet in the near future, meanwhile put the date in the diary and let everyone know.
- Come dressed in sailing clothes. Club house facilities restricted due to Covid regulations.
- Club boats will be available.
If people want to just come along and go sailing with the additional advise from experienced sailors both on and off the water then that is great. The aim is to have a Club Day with lots of members joining in and having a fun time on the water with the support of those who know.
